friendly meeting. everybody glad to see one another. Went all by ferry and surface cars  to Astor Hotel. Took lunch with them then Weger [[underlined]] and I went [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[strikethrough]] walking visited Macey's to buy a valise for Weger. Then went to tower of Metropolitan Life Insurance building [[marginal entry]] ^X highest then^ [[/marginal entry]] to have a look over the town.  Then went to chemists Club, then to garage of Spaulding to buy new commutator pieces for motor car which seems to be deranged.  then Sportmans store, then Mouquins Then left Weger and went home  
Sunday March 6.  I found that car is not in shape. at all and ignition seems wrong. Hurried work all morning and when we think car is all right it proves the trouble recurs again. tried to reach

New York but got stalled repeatedly. George and Lewis with me. All this very discouraging at a moment when I want to the fetch the Siemens Halske men. Finally found trouble is due to a shifted commutator which can not be mended now.
Dr. Loeb and Mrs. Loeb arrived here with their Landaulet and took me up to N Y at about 5.P.M. and drove me to Astor Hotel The Siemens Halske men were patiently waiting. I hired taxicab and drove with them for supper to Claremont. then back to Astor. Remained with Jaeger and Tessel [[underlined]] to explain progress and situation of Bakelite and to prepare them for the next days I feel very very tired and very nervous

Weger could be Meyer but will follow the herd until. . .
