Took short lunch at Hotel then went back to Rochester Button Co. where I tried different Bakelite compositions on their lathe.  Turned out Protol Mixtures do not turn and polish as well as plain wood flour.  Bakelite mixture Sheets of impregnated Bakelite card board made by Weger [[strikeout]]to[[/strikeout]]seems incompletely hampered in C and smell decidedly. Dice [[?]] with wood pulp containing Cinnamon oil smelt this odor and no odor of Cresol.  Took supper in German restaurant then drove to station to catch 9[[underline]05[[/underline]]. did not sleep and arrived in Yonkers rather tired.

Afternoon Sternberg came here submitted some better samples but not as good yet as Boontons. Drove him back to New York Station.  Drizzling fog.  Good nights' rest.
April 1. 1910. Clear weather.  Miss Newman came here to do some belated typewriting work.  Answer to article in "Germanic Industrie" (Salmonsky) Much ventation on account of defective work.  Bad spelling inaccuracy etc. All this very disagreeable. Work much impaired at a time when I needed good assistance.  I feel much worn out and very nervous. disgusted with
