everything.  Life in this condition is a curse.  Newly engaged maid, seems incompetent too and act like so many geese.  I need very much a vacation where I am far away from everybody here and from my work which now begins I lack interest and swiftly has become a drudge and an irritation  I wish I could find some time to spend in a quiet corner of the world where nobody knows me nor bothers me.
Wiedman came here in the afternoon to confer about selling some pieces of protal and as to future policy. I told him the weakness of our beginning position due to blunder in  starting wrong. and Peters would join a company of the kind. He tells me he is entirely dependent on Protal Co. for his living, and possesses nothing beyond that and his property in Long Island. I do not envy him! [[margin]]Sam Bogart and W H Nicholas at Banquet. Bogart tells me his substance is made with analinchlorhydrate. feel rather disquieted and lost much of my cheerfulness. He thinks substance is n.g. Made appointment with him for Tuesday. I am very impatient to probe all this. Will all my work be annihilated?
