Conference with [[Forsterberg?]] etc regards requirements of installation - cost price of product etc.  Hot sticky day.  Arrived back in N.Y. by 6:30 PM took supper at Mouquin and went home by 8:38 P.M. rather disappointed.
June 28. Dictated letters all morning.  Lewis reports differential of car is crushed.  Brady and himself working on it.  At 1 p.m went to Peters & Williams for lunch at Midday club.  Met W.H Nichols there, told him he should not appoint Schweitzer as chairman of patent committee.  he says will not and will see that the right man gets appointed.  At 2 P.M met at Hasslacher's office with Hasslacher, Dubois, [[Friesterling?]].  Hasslacher made many objections to contract of Protal Company which I answer

He thinks best of Bakelite is allready given out.  I say no.  I believe I succeeded  in giving him satisfaction. Peters & Williams say if there is anything ambiguous in wording of contract this can be amended.  This shows me beginning of complications.  Meeting with Dr Frank of Siemens & Halske relative contract Hooker Electrochemical Co. (charge 1/3 day) we agreed on contract.  Met Townsend at Manhattan went together for supper at University Club.  Then to train 8:38 for Yonkers.  Townsend slept here.
June 29. Townsend here all day.  Showed him my samples, went with him to Bakelite Paper Factory.  Seems very favorably impressed and says wants $15000 subscription I offered him to give him option for one year or to rebuy his stock within
