Asked Snell to wait for cablegram from [[underline]] Knoll [[/underline]] which will probably stop his letter. Says will wait until Friday but if this cablegram does not arrive . will have to publish.
Meeting of [[underline]] Protal [[/underline]] seem all to be decided to [[underline]] Drop Wiedman[[/underline]], seem tired of his un-businesslike ways. I told them to give some one authority in their business instead of everybody seeming to defend an order. [[underline]] Wiedman is now on vacation until September [[/underline]] They concluded to put Swan in charge and authority for six weeks. Matters are going now as I feared one year ago. They begin to feel tired in having money misspent without visible results. That is why I did not want to

Aug. 9.  Dictated letters, and [[strikethrough]] worked on[[/strikethrough]] tried motor car find it does not work well. Drove to Tarrytown with Mrs. B. Nina and Herty. Car dose not run satisfactorily more bother.
