at .1 P.M we all went in motor car. George driving. Kenneth Hall with us. to Belmont Park to see aviation races. Splendid weather. Thousands of motor cars. They seem very master of their motions. After awhile one gets used to the sight and the idea. Involves certainly much courage. If I was somewhat younger and not so much engaged just now. I believe I would like to try my hand in this sport. Saw two of the Wright aeroplanes fly higher and higher for altitude contest. At

one time there were four machines in air. Drove away about 4 [[underline]] 30 [[/underline]] P.M. was left at University club while the others went to Yonkers. At U.C took supper with Van Sinderen.  spoke about Protal Co and Gen. Bakelite Co. then went to Chemist Club Smoker. I felt rather tired and have swollen eyes on account of motor ride in dust.
Oct 30.  All of us have swollen face. _ About noon went out with Mr. Wacher in his boat for a short time. Took nap in afternoon
