Motored then to home of Cohoe then to Rideout and [[?]] then back to Hotel. Evening there was a dinner of the ^[[A.C.]] Society,  ladies & gentlemen, well attended 
Prof Eller toastmaster. That dane made an endless speech in broken english I was invited to speak and succeeded in making them laugh.

Sept 13/. Visit to Hamilton Canadian Westinghouse plant. No bakelite used as yet 
Then saw Gayley process of refrigerated blast in steel - works. [[red underline]] People everywhere pay quite some attention to me [[/red underline]] 
Supper at National Club with Cohoe and Tyndale then to bed at ll P.M.
Sept 24(Sunday) Up at 8. At 11 drove with Cohoe to his factory. Cohoe seems distracted by unpleasant letter just received. Says his men in the States have "cold feet". refers to v.d. Linde. He says effect is due to [[red underline]] Condensite. [[/red underline]] Rather chilling news for me after yesterday's  impression. Lunch at Cohoe's
