Nov 22.  Slept well.  Got hold of one of the [[red underline]] Condensite [[/red underline]] pamphlets.  
Went to visit [[red underline]] McMurtrie [[/red underline]] He is half paralyzed.  He seems to worry about the fact that I was [[emulated?]] by his concern. and was under impression I had taken his job! I explained to him how absurd this idea was. and explained how I had [[unformaly?]] undertaken to reference the work of Peter relative to Vaygouny process

Nov 23/ At 1 PM met [[red underline]] Demuth [[/red underline]] again relative of [[strikethrough]] new [[/strikethrough]] campaign with two of his [[hand drawn arrow leading to this]] salesmen and one doctor of Washington. D.C.  Had long conference with them.  Salesmen were only ordinary drummers who do not see further than their nose is long.  His Washington customer in the embassy is a very intelligent man broad minded.  He thinks there will be no trouble in selling the pipes [[red underline]] under their true name [[/red underline]] but we [[/end inserted section]]

most of this page was an insertion made by drawing an arrow (I referred to the point where it started). It looks like he stopped his entry, started to begin a new day, crossed out the date, but left the information he started to write there. He continued his writings for November 23 after the arrow.
