Took Townsend for lunch at hotel. Then [[strikethrough]] went to Cushmans lab with Whitaker and Parker while the others went to Indian Head proving grounds [[/strikethrough]]

Evening long and tiresome session. Long drawn paper of Frerichs. Meeting lasted till 11 PM to bed at 12.
Dec 21. Took it easy while the others went to Indian Head Proving grounds. I visited Townsend then Bigelow, took lunch with him at little laboratory restaurant across street

Took restful nap. and feel much rested. Evening banquet. [[red underline]] Got acquainted with Patent Commissioner Moore. [[/red underline]] and other guests. Well attended banquet at Willard's ladies present.

My speech was favorably received and made them laugh. A very enjoyable affair. Went to bed about 12
