June 18.

Went to office after lunch. Long conference with [[red underline]] De Muth  [[/red underline]]. His foreman shows me some new process bits which turned somewhat darker by simply being kept in a box.

His business does not run well. wants to give up his [[chemical?]] business and return only [[red underline]] Bakelite which [[/red  underline]] is not yet in paying condition 
Took supper with him. took 10 [[superscript, underlined]] 45 [[/superscript, underlined]] P.M train.
June 19. Another day murdered with dictating letters and contract for [[red underline]] De Muth [[/red underline]] etc. Busy here all day. Am getting sick of it all. George did not come home last night.
