July 20 - Saturday
Cooked breakfast, came to river.
waded across. Paris fell from log.
Came to Waptus Lake. At lower end met men + boys, packed in with horse to fish. Talked. Awhile later met Forest (Forbes) Service Man on Pinto horse. Turned on Trail Creek. Saw large waterfalls. Forded stream twice. 
Passed near Deep Lake and Cathedral Peak. Turned east to worst climb so far. Mosquitos were bad. Arrived Cle Elum.
