a rocky ridge top scramble trail
To the Dragons Tooth a high stone slab
Jutting vertically from the rocky ridge
wingfoot calls the decent from Dragons Tooth 
"Hand and Foot" and he certainly is right 
A [[strikethrough]] more [[/strikethrough]] sudden and hazardous route indeed 
Near the roadcrossing was a food cooler 
Containing sandwiches and drinks for thru hikers 
Generously placed by a local friend of the [[Appalachian Trail symbol]] 
Nearby is Catawba grocery a welcome boost
To strength and morale, a hiker must have food.
Midafternoon the trail crossed several hayfields
One had been fresh cut and the hay baled
fifty years ago it would have been stacked.
About a week ago I began to have an ache
In my left lung, which gradually moved

I began to breathe easier and deeper
For years my lung capacity had lessened
And it was attributed to advancing age
Apparently my lung was in a state of collapse
And now is functioning again, a mirale
I feel rejuvinated and encouraged to keep hiking
The human body is indeed a wonderful thing.

More ridgetop to which means no springs
