In Clarks Valley I met and talked briefly

crossed Clarks Valley and climbed

To the Junction with Horseshoee Trail
Which runs southeast to Valley Forge.
Slept under pines where the firetower stood
Beyond is St. Anthony's wilderness
The name can be seen on an ancient map
The trail follows an old stage road
The length of the long high valley
