The last few miles to Delaware Gap

The Le high climb, the zinc desert
the bauder  rimrocks and the stumble stones.
This stretch is the most maligned on the AT.
Before me as I write is a view

and the countryside toward Philadelphia.
Offsetting the unpleasant aspect in 
Eastern Penne. are three old leanto shelters
A steak chowder a [[blank space]] restaurant
A country sampler near Slaylinigtro
And the friendly people I met.
Half a mile [[strikethrough]] The view [[/strikethrough]] farther is the view
Of Tarmany Mtn across the river
in New Jersey the the ledge I slept on
