Lizzie Sha did not sail but returned owing to a defect in her chains which must be remedied before can can go to sea.

Very high tide, rises above guage to 9.95 on staff. Small harbor half covered with ice again but not very thick.

Max 26. Tide has been up to 10 on staff above limit of tide guage.
Wind light E with wavy swell rolling in. the small harbor froze over again. The low barometer of the last two days is probably due to a heavy blow outside which has not reached us in here.
Cloudy - P.M. heavy snow amid a large increase of Ice inside the small harbor.
