Locality written in Chinese Possibly Japanese? Have asked pple on twitter and other volunpeers for a hand with the language here - @siobhanleachman Got quite a bit of response from twitter re this label. It is Japanese and the very last character translates as "location" so the ones prior to that, if translated correctly will give the location the bee was collected. - No. Last character is not 'location'. This means 'foothills of Mt Shiga in Tochigi Prefecture? Thank you! Happy to take on board any help. #volunpeers all the way! Heard from twitter - last character is ? meaning "base" - guess for the full text is ?????, meaning "the base of Mt. Kogashi." - Couldn't find Mt. Kogashi on geonames but did find this site http://www.mountainproject.com/v/tochigi-prefecture--kogashi-yama/107616710 which gave state/province.
