to New Jersey Central Station.  Went to office then for lunch to Chemists Club.  On my way in Fifth Ave. suddenly a man jumps from taxicab nearest my car and enters my car with a white poodle under his arm and this man was [[underlined]] Harold Binney [[/underlined]] Started taking about patent suit, then said he had been in Yonkers night before and had slept in a taxicab for four days in [[excess?]]
and similar unusual talk which made me think that he was not quite sober
Told me [[Fishel?]] was ready to make arrangement

if we were reasonable.  Invited me to meet [[Fishel?]] immediately which I refused to do because
his whole communication and behavior seemed so absurd.  Went alone for lunch at [[underlined]] Chemists Club [[/underlined]] Then met [[underlined]] Evans [[/underlined]] and [[underline]][Baskerville[[/underline]]
Then went with them to Engineers Club, then motored Evans to Yonkers where he stayed for supper.  Gave him two sets of billiard balls. one for himself, and one for Lotus Club and then motored him at about 10 P.M to his house.
No news from [[underlined]] George [[/underlined]] yet and we are wondering why we do not hear from him
