There he told me he had not slept for 48 hours and had been in Coney Island or similar places with two girls and another man. He did not look sober. Told me Fishel is [[strikethrough]] willing [/strikethrough]] desirous to meet me and discuss license conditions and is willing to make arrangement. Called me to get copy of bill of complaint before it was filed and after I told

him I would do so he said he had bet a case of champagne with [[underline]] Fishel [[/underline]] that he would be able to get a copy of the bill before it was filed - and similar stupid talk. I took supper at Chemists Club and went home with 8:45 P.M train.
Trolley strike still on.
Jan 8. Meeting board of Directors [[underline]] Hasslacher, Dubois, [[/underline]] Forsterling. and Williams and myself. Gave them all nice all-bakelite De Muth pipe. Everybody seemed satisfied. Sales for year are [[underline]] $195,000 [[/underline]] or [[underline]] $40,000 [[/underline]] more than I had guessed at beginning of
