[[Hugaren?]].took supper at "[[Broadway polart?]]" a rather funny name for a new restaurant apartment house conceived in the Ansonia style.  Then I took cab home.  
Feb 17.  Slept very well. [[underline]] Hecht [[/underline]] called me up at Home.  Went to office of Segal where I met Dr. [[underline]] [[Clemon?]] [[/underline]] of Mannheim + talked over contracts and business matters together with Moser.  Agreed on version of my personal contract except that I decided to be paid back for money expended by me for patents but as they objected did not insist.  [[underline]] Leznel [[/underline]] voluntarily [[underline]]offered [/underline]].

to [[underline]] pay my traveling expenses.[[/underline]]  Afterwards [[underline]] [[Clemon?]].[/underline]], Moser and myself went to [[Kanichof?]] for lunch.  [[underline]] [[Clemon?]] [[/underline]] tells me [[underline]] Henry Hewitt [[/underline]] was a very close friend [[red vertical line from here to end of paragraph]] of him at Berlin University and made quite a sensation when he announced he had met the Kaiser and most doubted that he was of such an important family. 
Went to see Hecht for a few minutes at his office.  Took short nap then joined [[underline]] [[Clemon?]] [[/underline]] to [[underline]] Segals house [[/underline]] for supper.  Drove back 11.P.M. with [[underline]] [[Clemom?]] [[/underline]].
Feb 18 Drove early to new plant of Kabelwerke  of [[underline]] Seimens - Schüchert [[/underline]] at Gardelegen.  Very friendly reception from
