Their work with bakelite is mostly made with paste mixtures and cold molding and they are getting quite good results with it altho' most of their work is made with Festonet which is cheaper.  Saw them press nice black knife handles for South America from [[underline]] thick porous cardboard implemented with black varnish No. 2 then dried then pressed hot in mold. [[/underline]]   They are making some large pieces in bakelite for [[strikethrough]] spo [[/strikethrough]] faucets and petticoat insulators
General impression was good altho' Segal tells me

Got cable and letter announcing [[underline]] Chicago Section [[/underline]] of American Chemical Society awards me [[underline]] Willard Gibbs Metal - on first ballot. [[/underline]] Former medalists were [[underline]] Svante Arrhenius [[/underline]] and Prof [[underline]] Theodore W. Richards [[/underline]] of [[strikethrough]] Chi [[/strikethrough]] Harvard.  I cabled back acceptance also cabled to Albert Hooker why I do not receive information about cost of cells.
Evening went to see a translated french play: Madame la Presidente  the usual french spicy rubbish
