Evening met Evans and Dr. Hanemann at Chemists Club where took supper and returned with 10:45 P.M.
June 5.  Hasslacher returned home from trip to Europe.  Sent him my car.  Fine weather remained home all day.
June 6.  Orders received to day alone are [[underlined]] $11000 or about $15000 till now! [[/underlined]] Went to New York met Hasslacher, then Roessler  Townsend and Dubois at lunch.  Dubois and Townsend had interview with [[underlined]] Edison [[/underlined]] Edison says he does not infringe our patents and uses a variety

of Novolak now which on further heating hardens somewhat but still remains thermoplastic  Both report that they believe his statement to be true and that he seemed well disposed towards Bakelite
At evening when to Chemists Club and remained till meeting of Am. Chem. Society then went home.
June 7.  Here all day.  Sultry foggy weather then storm.  Evening went to graduation exercises of [[underlined]] Halstead School [[/underlined]] at Amackassin Club.  Pretty function - good speech by Dr. Fosdick. Nina.
June 8. (Sunday) Splendid weather Leebohn and his wife here.  Motor trip over Nyack and Palisades together with Celine then after deliver them at station went home.
