Oct 4. Went to see Dr. [[underline red]] Rosa[[/underline red]] and [[underline red]] Dr. Curtis[[/underline red]] at [[underline red]] Bureau of Standards [[/underline red]]. Told them I had a new variety of bakelite of which surface breakage is very small as compared to other varieties.  Showed them a stick of it and how it attracts paper after friction.  Left them

He says has high insulating power but too expensive, is as good as shellac or amber I notice it is about just as brittle as brittle amber
Beautiful clear weather fine autumn foliage. after lunch we went to meet Mr. [[underline red]] Snider [[/underline red]] of Bureau of entomology who is experimenting with [[underline red]] bakelite impregnated [[/underline red]] wood to stand attack of [[underline red]] white ants. [[/underline red] Says has stood very well thus far.
Evening met Townsend further at club to talk over patent situation.
