Headache and cold in the head.  Raining much.  Home 9:50 PM

Tells me he has succeeded in making [[red underline]] permanent color C by dissolving paraform first in glycerine [[/red underline]] then adding this to our ordinary [[red underline]] pipe stock A  [[/red underline]] as made now. Showed him our results here with hexamethytentriphenol and described him our processes. He saw samples and results. Showed him also samples exposed to sun since end of spring of 1913.
Evening. motored to New York with Celine for supper at [[red underline]] Mrs Loeb.
