Told to Takamine that if I go to Japan I would take steamer which leaves San Francisco towards [[red underline]] end of July. [[/red underline]] 
After leaving him went to Chemists Club there [[strikethrough]] found [[/strikethrough]] Celine telephoned to me that she had obtained a cable from Dr. Remouchamps that my dear old [[red underline]] mother [[/red underline]] had peacefully passed away that morning.
