[[underline]] WHAT BURPEE'S SEED HAVE DONE FOR ME
FOR PRIZE CONTEST. [[/underline]]

First of all, make sure of a good seedbed. Our ground was once a sand prairie but I have hauled in black dirt, manured heavily and always lime to correct acid soil. Also, inoculate all legumes and get better returns.

I garden for diversion, but it pays well in choice fresh vegetables and wonderful flowers. Plant both vegetables and flower seeds so as to have one follow another; asparagus, radishes, lettuce, spinach, peas, beans, potatoes, and tomatoes. Also have steady flower bloom from hyacinths to dahlias.

[[underline]] THE FIRST CONSIDERATION IS CAREFULLY SELECTED SEEDS [[/underline]].

Plant at the right time, cultivate persistently and never allow weeds to start - a big mistake is made by crowding - only so much can be grown successfully on a given tract.

I find by [[underline]] test [[/underline]] that Burpee's guaranteed seeds are [[underline]] best [[/underline]] and end in fruition and full realization of long cherished hopes.

My great pleasure is in the care of a garden and my satisfaction is in choicest fresh vegetables and a riot of color among the flowers. Summing up, here are the requisites:
1 - Liking for gardening.
2 - High fertility
3 - Carefully selected seeds.
4 - Intensive cultivation
5 - Use the [[underline]] hoe [[/underline]] - not the [[underline]] hose. [[/underline]]
