W. Atlee Burpee, Co. Prize Contest
Philadelphia, Penna.

So. Royalton Vermont
R.T.D. #3
July 26, 1924

Dear Sirs:-
I will venture into your prize contest, the chances are I will not win a prize, but anyway, its a good chance for me to let you know that your seeds are all you claim them to be, and that they are not only true in name or quality, but that they are the means of helping my family to the extent of saving us from bankruptcy is the point I stand one as a recommendation to Burpee Seeds.
Your Blue Bantom peas take the prize here as a market crop.
I picked 14 bushels of pods from five pounds of speck, and got the top price of 2.40 a bu. at the markets when other peas sold for $1.80 Theres no red-tape to Blue Bantam peas, no puffed out pods with small peas inside, Every peck is a money getter, because people know they are buying peas and not pods.
I used both manure and phosphate in my garden, and I know it pays to feed plants if one wants results.
Its a pleasure to me to see every thing grow and mature good fruits, ahead of my neighbors who persist in buying cheap seeds.
  Good old Burpee Seeds.
Albert T. Gagne
