Dear Mr. Burpee ;-

In January three Years ago while convalescing your facinating Spring catalogue came, and looking through it I found the inspiration that let loose my dreams, a long cherished one for a little garden.

With my imagination turned loose I drew my plans and ordered my seed, many packages of old fashioned flowers that had grown in my Grandmothers garden. When March came my garden had materialized with tiny boxwood as a border for the beds and walks.

I could hardly wait for seed planting time, but finally April came, and into each bed I planed rows of these small seed. In a few weeks as if by magic, the seed sprang to life and each day became a marvel to see them grow, and in no time my little garden was a mass of lovely colors and perfume. There was no end to my happiness to see this miracle.

Now after three Years my little garden is richer and more beautiful, and it is there I have found the most enduring and satisfying pleasure and hobby I have ever had. A hobby that brings me health of mind, body, and soul, and the "Peace of God that passeth all understanding".

Very truly yours,
