There is a sailor on board whom I never noticed before, he, the first minute I say him, reminded me of Napolian, why, I cannot exactly say, perhaps it is the brow or the desided mouth which it seems to me indicates ambition. I am sorry for him if he has one hundredth part  of the ambition Napolean had, for how hard it must be to be a plain sailor. I can imagine trying to work his way in the world and always being rather discontented

until he grows to be - who can tell what. Still he does not look really discontented now. He is young strong and looks well able to make his way in the world. We left Queenstown at 1245, so we are really off for America. We passed the Alaska as well as a boat of the Warren line. 
To my surprise I was a little sick to-night but I soon got over it and spent the evening on deck. Although it was very disagreeable I enjoyed it. 
(I mean the weather!)
