Jack Wilson around at noontime again. We went down to the pool to get the pistol with a rake. We moved it about 9 inches toward us and then the dirt covered it up We watched some men [[strikethrough]] put [[/strikethrough]] lay cinders on the road in the Enclosure. The whole road is covered now It is going to be rolled. Jack bough a crazy cap at Davis's. It is all right when it is put on straight. We're starting Shakespeare's Julius Caesar in English in school.

I lay an hour watching the spring trying to see my waterpistol. I could see quite plain. I went up to the Wilson's with Jack. We came out [strikeout] as [/strikeout] at about six o'clock Jack got Donaldson the station master after him. Jack ran down the street jumping around like a clown. Donaldson only went a little ways and said he'd make hay of him. I walked around with Jack while he delivered some Saturday Evening Posts.
