[[preprinted]] 258 Saturday Sept 14 [[/preprinted]] At last Saturday a decent day has come. I went down town to help Mrs. Morse carry some things up. Over at our house I climbed to the top and sat on the chimney top. From there I could see Long Island. I bought Popular Mechanics and sat in the Wykagyl Station for quite a while. In the evening we celebrated Miss Rumford's birthday. We all dressed up funny. I dressed up in Mr. Morse's dress suit and we played 500 after the birthday dinner. Mr. Morse won a pack of cards for having won. [[end page]] [[start page]] [[preprinted]] 259 Sunday sept 15 [[/preprinted]] I went down town this morning and then to Hudson Park and back. Not much doing all day, just sitting around. I counted 76 autos from 5:30-6:00 pass the house.
