On the 20th we passed through a some what similar [[strikethrough]] eddy [[/strikethrough]] stream, having a southeasterly drift and about half the velocity of the last.
On the 2 [[overwritten]] 3 [[/overwritten]] 1rd we entered the Alaska stream about Lat. 53°, the temperature rose to 50° which was maintained during that day & part of the next, with a southerly & westerly drift on the 21st (with an adverse wind) of somewhat over a third of a knot perhaps gradually increasing as we neared the islands to 1 1/3 knots.
