[[underlined]] Thursday 18. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 86. Amelia Pott and her cousin went to Potte. after breakefast The miss Warners came to get evergreen for the Church. Eddy Patterson brought Mrs. Peale home this afternoon from Potte. she has been quite unwell while there with a cold, she is now better  I sent up with him the picture that we have been coppeying.

[[underlined]] Friday 19. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N 86. Mary expected Miss B. Bosh but she did not come, therefore Mary painted on a Madona. Miss Emma Pott & Miss [[Garrison?]] called this afternoon.

[[underlined]] Saturday 20.[[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 85, 86 and dead coloured the figures in my last snow piece.

[[underlined]] Sunday 21st.[[/underlined]] The day was so cold that we had no visitors, and we didnot go to church. Mrs. Peale was not very well last night, she had a [[strikethrough]] coffing [[/strikethrough]] ^[[insertion]] coughing [[/insertion]] spell the first part of [[?]] but she is much better today. Mine is nearly well. Edward rode Topsey this afternoon being the seccond trial, she went along very quietly and appears very tractible for a young horse.

[[underlined]] Monday 22d. [[/underlined]]] I painted all day on N. 86. Edward went this morning in the Sulkey to the City of Macanoy to sell hay. George took a load of bailed hay to St. Clair and brought back coal. Mixed white and lead colored paint for Mary and Louisia &c.

[[underlined]] Tuesday  23. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 86. got a letter from my son Burd, he is appointed Medical [[strikethrough]] Director [[/strikethrough]] Inspector of the 11th. [[strikethrough]] division [[/strikethrough]] ^[[insertion]] Corps [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] [[/insertion]] of the Army of the Potomac also one from Charles, he says he has been handsomely received by the firm of W. Sellers & Co he has commenced remodeling their books.
