126.   November. 1863.
[[underlined]] Monday 23. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 90 and in the afternoon worked at the front regulating the stones and grading for the pavement &c.
Mary was dissipointed that Mr. Levan didnot sit, he had to take a lady to Potte.  She concluded to go up and Edward Hubley took her to S. Haven, for her to go in the carrs. saldered the tin coffee pot that leaked.
30°. calm white frost. 47°. calm. clo 3 w. 35°. calm, clo 4 south.
[[underlined]] Tuesday 24 [[/underlined]]  I painted a good part of the day although it has been raining and very dark, on N. 90 and 94.  
Mary didnot come from Potte. she expected to come with Mrs. Graef, she nodoubt concluded that it was too dark to paint. Edward is so much better that he has been about all day. and even went to the river this afternoon with his men to bring up a hued log that came down three weeks ago, they brought it up this evening.
Mrs. Peale is not very well today, and Louisia has pain nearly all over her from exposure during Edwards sickess. I mgnetised her back and knee, releaved her much.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 25. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N 93 and N. 90 and in the afternoon nearly finished painting the front porch.  Mary came in the carrs to S. Haven and walked home this evening to supper.

[[underlined]] Thursday 26. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 94.  I regulated the ground in front of the porch ready for the sand to lay the bricks & skinned a rabit which E.H. killed.

[[underlined]] Friday 27. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 94 and went on regulating the ground for the pavement although it was frozen hard.  This afternoon Miss E. Fisher, her sister Mary Morris & her son Robert spent the afternoon here.  Edward Hubley went home today.  He shot a Rabit & I skinned it, we dined at Edwards.

[[underlined]] Saturday 28. [[/underlined]] I begun to lay the pavement in front but it commenced to rain which drove me in.  I then ground the Jack & Foreplane, Hatchet chissels &c and made a stretching frame for a picture that I am painting of a bunch of grapes a coppey of N. 90, and
