[[underlined]] Friday 3d [[/underlined]] This being good friday Mary didnot paint, but I did all the morning on N. 87. sowed in pots Red Tomato, Early Tomatos & New Zealand do [[ditto for: tomatos]] Cayenne and Bell Peppers, white celery and placed them in the green room. Louisia spent the day at Benny Potts. Edd. took Fanny towards evening for her.

[[underlined]] Saturday 4th. [[/underlined]] As Mary had no sitters, I painted all day on N. 87. Mary varnished Joseph's picture.
Louisia spent the day at Mrs Eber's, Orwigsburg and got home after night.
George is hawling manure in the little orchard for Potatoes he begun yesterday.

[[underlined]] Sunday 5th. [[/underlined]] The ground was covered with snow 2 or 3 inches deep when I got up this morning. we have had no company today.

[[underlined]] Monday 6. [[/underlined]]As Mr. Graeff sat this morning, I made a small stetching frame for Mary, & painted the greater part of the afternoon on No. 87.
[[left margin note]] set 2 hens [[/margin note]] Louisia set two hens today one in the hen-house the other in the cow stable. Edward spent much of the day at the Poorhouse seeing to the bailing of his hay. I endeavoured to do something in the garden, but found the ground too wet to work it, and the cold wind prevented my trimming the grape vines. George is still hauling manure to the Potatoe ground. Mary went for the paper this afternoon to S. H. and there saw a boy pass that had his [[strikethrough]] heel [[/strikethrough]] [[insertion]] foot [[/insertion]] cut off by a carr on the rail road while playing ball instead of going to school.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 7th. [[/underlined]] Mr. William Levan sat to Mary this morning, I worked in the garden a good part of the day. Sowed Drumhead Cabbage & Early York in elevated box at the oven, Celery in the cold bed. Pumpkin, Watermellon, & Cantilope in Potts in the Parlour &c. Trimmed grape vine at Marys door. Mary & her Mother went to S. Haven this afternoon & got onion sets 4 quarts at 7 cts and got from Mrs. Shannan
