I painted all day on N 103.
Mrs. Peale has not been so well today. 
James & Matilda and several of their children came this afternoon & supped with us.

[[underlined]] Saturday 13. [[underlined]] Mrs. Peale slept well last night, and she is much better today, so that Mary went to Potte. this morning and returned this afternoon, Clarra went with her.  James Patterson daughter
Frederick, his wife & Miss Eaten from N. York came also.
It clouded up from the s w at dusk and commenced to rain a little after 7 with thunder and lightning.

[[underlined]] Sunday 14th. [[/underlined]] Mrs. Peale slept all night and has been quite smart all day but didnot attempt to set up
Brother Burd came this morning to see her.
James and Flora went home soon after breakefast.

[[underlined]] Monday 15. [[/underlined]] I painted a part of the day on N. 103 & 104.
Mrs. Peale is rather better today.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 16 [[/underlined]] I cleaned the first row of celery, transplanted Tomato Plants &c. repairred Mary's steps. Sarah Levan and several ladies came this evening too late to see anything.
Mrs. Peale seemed quite bright this morning but not so well this afternoon.

[[underlined]] Thursday 18. [[/underlined]] Mrs. Peale slept all night today she is rather better.
Edward, Albert and I went up to Potte. to have my tooth extracted and another put in its place. this was accomplished before 2. we dined at Brother Georges found much better than I expected to find her, she was down stairs, and Lydia carried her in
