[[underlined]] Sunday 18 [[/underlined]] This morning Brother George, Lydia, Mary Eliza brought down Lydia commonly called Dolly, she bore the ride very well only complained of being fatigued. Then came [[strikethrough]] Lydia [[/strikethrough]] Matilda, Mrs. Bennet, her two Daughters and Eddy Patterson. They all spent the day here. This afternoon Joseph Patterson came down 
Charles and Albert went home this morning in the Carrs, C. couldnot remain longer, for tomorrow being pay day in the establishment,(The number of hands being over 300, their wages amounting to 8,000 dollars, being $16,000 a month) and Albert had to be at school tomorrow (The High School) he is much pleased with it, and is makeing good progress in his studies. Burd has spent much of the day with his wife May who is confined to her bed Today she is very weak. o

[[underlined]] Monday 19. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 102.
May came down this evening but she is very feeble. Dr. Carpenter came to see her this evening
Edward, Louesia & A. E. Hubley took supper at Benny Potts.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 20. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 102 and 103 and finished them exeipt varnishing.
Ann Elizabeth went home this afternoon.
Burd, May & Burdie left for home at 5 oclock this afternoon expecting to lodge at Orwigsburg tonight. It will quite an undertakeing for she is exceedingly weak. It is decided by Dr. Carpenter & Burd that she has consumption of the lungs as well as of the bowells. Burd is a faithful nurs to her.
Miss Catharine Levan took supper with us this evening. 
Miss Eliza Fisher & Rob. Morris called this afternoon.
[[dash underlined]] Carrie Lawrence [[/underlined]] left this evening, she was only engaged for 2 weeks [[dash underlined]] Also Susan Deibert left [[/underlined]]
