[[underlined]] Tuesday 24.[[/underlined]] I worked in the garden all the morning. Mrs [[Donglony?]] worked a little this afternoon.
Mrs. Peale is much better and stronger today than she has been
Mr. & Mrs. Innis called this afternoon to see her.
Edward took Mrs. Green (the nurse for Mrs. Peale) to Potte. and brought Miss  [[blank space left to be filled in with name]] a sewing girl for Louisia down with him in time for dinner.
63°. calm s e clo 10. 85°. calm s w. clo 9 s w. toward evening clouds gathered from s w with thunder, cleared off. 75°. s e clo. 8 & lightning.
[[underlined]] Wednesday 25. [[/underlined]] I wed the asparagus bed, it was very full of plaintens and not grass.
Mrs. Peale is much better today and is getting very tired of the bed.
  Mrs. [[?]] called this afternoon to enquire how Mrs. Peale is brought her some Oranges.
[[left margin note]] hail storm [[/left margin note]]  Last night we had a most terrable storm from the s w. with heavey rain and Hail, Lightning and heavy claps of thunder. thail stripped the leaves from the trees and cherries &c-. Many windows in S. Haven broken with the hail.
I begun to design another Fruit piece.
Dr. Shannan was much pleased with the Partridge biece that I am painting.

[[underlined]] Thursday 26. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N 100. and divided the oliander plant in to 3 potts all with good roots.
Harriet went in the morning carrs to Phila.
Mrs. Peale has been much better all day than she has been, she is stronger, pulse fuller and eats with a better relish, and is more clearful.
It has been raining all the afternoon

[[underlined]] Friday 27. [[/underlined]] Mrs. Peale is much better today, stronger, more chearful. I have worked a little among the plants. bored holes in the shell and wired it for Mary. I have not been over smart today, couldnot undertake to paint although I felt desirous of going on with the Partridge piece on hand, but lacked energy.
