[[underlined]] Saturday 10.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 124 & 125. Took a snack and then with Mary went to Mrs. Mathews's to see as much of the review of the returned soldiers as we could, but unfortunatily a thunder storm with heavy rain prevented our going in to broad Street to see the Review and only had a glimpse of it, we spent the afternoon and evening there.

[[underlined]] Sunday 11.[[/underlined]] Mary went to church, dined at Franklins and got home to tea, she and I spent the evening with Mrs. Dr. Shippen & Harriet.
A great number of Rebel soldiers passed here this afternoon, they were confined in Fort Delaware, they are now on their way to the south.

[[underlined]] Monday 12.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 125 and commenced a Interior N. 127 my chamber looking in from the parlour.

After supper Mary and I went up to Coleman's & spent the evening.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 13th.[[/underlined]] I painted until Mr. Moran came. present Mrs. Hazelton, Mrs. Rem. Peale, Anna Sellers and Mrs. Christie  I painted on N.124, 125 & 126. 
Mary and I went to see the House N 323 Clinton Street 
I was much pleased with it, the lot is rather narrow, but for the prise we couldnot suit ourselves better, it is furnished with every convenience, kitchen on the first floor, hot & cold water, bath &c. cool large cellar. 
Mary got a letter from Mrs. Fred. Patterson saying that Frederick had written & enclosed a check - this wasnot received, she went to the Post office and found it there it was neglected being sent or delivered.
