[[underlined]] Tuesday 27.[[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 110. put in the sky and part of the mountans and water.  The two Edwards called this afternoon when Mary was at Mr. Tathams.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 28.[[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 110 although the day was very dark.  Edward came this afternoon took tea with us.

[[underlined]] Thursday 29 [[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 110. after dinner Mary and I went to see Mr. Sully and remained until nearly dark.  She went on to Mr. Tathams.
Charles and Harriet spent the evening with me.

[[underlined]] Friday 30. [[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 110.  
This evening Franklin, Titian, Lucy, Charles, Harriet and Clarra spent the evening with us. [[strikethrough]] Mr. Thomas [[/strikethrough]] also Mr. G. N. Tatham and Miss Richards.  Mr. [[strikethrough]] Thomas [[/strikethrough]] [[underlined]] William [[/underlined]] Tatham sent his Portfolio of views &c which he collected while in Europe for me to see, I am much pleased with them and shall look over them in the day time.

[[underlined]] Saturday 31.[[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 110.
Edward dined with us.
Dr. Eckert called this afternoon.  It has been snowing all day and still continues.

[[double underlined]] Sunday January 1st. 1865.[[/double underlined]] I have spent this day at home and almost alone, as Mary went to Church morning and afternoon, the walking is very slippery on the pavements being covered with ice, I spent a part of the afternoon with Mr. Randel who is confined to his room with gout, I made an experiment on one of his fingers to assertain whether mesmerisem would be of any benefit, after operating on it the imflimation seemed to be removed also the pain, he moved it with less difficulty.

[[underlined]] Monday 2.[[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 107 and 110.  This afternoon Mary & I went to the Academy from there we went to Charles's & spent the evening.
