[[underlined]] Tuesday 3. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 107. Sister Harriet (Rembrandts widow) came this morning. spent an hour with us, she told me that the portrait of Washington that Mary purchased from Miss Whelan was painted by Rembrandt just before their marriage, that it was considered one of his best pictures, that he had painted 79 coppyes from his original and the last one before his death was painted for Mr. William Harmer and now is in his possession in this City. Edward & Louisia & Fanny came [[strikethrough]] also [[/strikethrough]] Louisia and Fanny dined with us. Louesia and Mary went to Mr. Tathams toward evening. Mr. [[strikethrough]] Nathan [[/strikethrough]] Henry Tatham called this afternoon. L. M. E. went this evening to the Academy of Music this evening leaving Fanny to keep me company.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 4th. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 107. Edward and Louesia & Fanny left after breakefast. Charles called this morning & Clara this evening. William Levan spent the evening here.

[[underlined]] Thursday 5. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 107. and in the evening Mary and I went to Mr. [[strikethrough]] Nathan [[/strikethrough]] Henry Tathams by invitation, we took tea and got there before nine oclock, the Family Party was very large of about 60, the refreshments has very handsome and costly. The Tabellous were very fair, Mary had the principle management of it on them. The dancing was kept up with chearfulness & spirit. we made the first move to ritire between 12 and 1 oclock we went and lodged at Mr. G. N. Tathams.
[[underlined]] Friday 6th. [[/underlined]] We breakefasted at Mr. Tathams and got home near 10 oclock, Burd & Burdie came soon after we got home, and went up to Burlington to see a friend of May's, and got back this evening.
Mary and I dined at Mr. G. N. Tathams, got home near dark. I painted all the morning on N. 101.
Charles called this morning, the Misses. Sellers has raised his salary to $2,000 and presented him with $150, and expressed their satisfaction of his management of their affairs of the office.
