[[underlined]] Saturday 7. [[/underlined]] I commenced to paint but found it so dark that I couldnot distinguish my colours. 
Burd & Burdie slept here, went home early this morning, he went through the rain, and when he got home found no emediate call for him, he returned after his breakefast to attend to some business here, and finding that Edward had gone to Holmesurg this morning to see him, he emediatily returned home. 
It has been storming all day rain and snow from the w.
44°. calm n e rain. 33°. w rain and then snow storm from the w 19°. n w clear.
[[underlined]] Sunday 8.[[/underlined]] I have been most of the day alone, Mary went to church again in the afternoon and returned home at dusk.
Mr. Failes, Eddy Patterson & his friend called this afternoon  We spent the evening in Mr. Huntingtons room

[[underlined]] Monday 9.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 110. Anna Sellers called & left her paintings to shew to Mr. Moran tomorrow. Mary went to the Academy this morning to draw and then to Mr. Tathams, to go to the skateing Park, returned late. Emma came this morning from Pottsville, Mary Jane Patterson came & dined with us and took Emma with her, Charles called this morning Edwar. & Edward Hubley came from Holmesburg this morning. Louesia and E. went to Camden & returned here and took tea with us, and then went to the Arch street Theatre. A. E. Hubley also with them. Mrs. Sarah Ogelvie called today.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 10.[[/underlined]] I painted on No. 107 until Mr. Moran came, Anna Sellers came in althoug it was raining very hard all the morning. Mr. M. made a new skey on my landscape & made out the mountains 
Emma came home from Williams after breakefast. Edward came this afternoon, the day was too rainy for Lousia & Fanny to come as they intended,they are going home tomorrow morning.

This has been a most unpleasant day, it has been raining all day without intermission
