Emma came home this morning with her mother. brother George came in soon after them, they didnot stay long as they were going a shopping.
William Levan came in soon after from his visit to New York, where he saw some fine pictures.

[[underlined]] Thursday 9. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 113. This evening Mr. William Thatham & Miss Mathews spent the evening here.

[[underlined]] Friday 10.[[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 113, and finished it.
This evening Mary and I went to the 2d. concert of Handel & Hayden Society, we were much pleased with the music and singing. The Musical Fund Hall was very crowded.

[[underlined]] Saturday 11. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 104 and 113. Mrs. Dr. Shippen & Harriet Mrs. Harmen & Mrs. S. Oglvie called this morning. Charles and Harriet spent this evening here. Mary varnished her 2d. Washington my Landscape, and Strawberry piece.

[[underlined]] Sunday 12. [[/underlined]] We have all been housed this day I has been a most stormy snow storm the whole day.

[[underlined]] Monday 13. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day in retouching N. 113 and a slice of watermellon on zinc that I painted at the farm last summer.
Mary went out this morning and only returned in time for tea.
Amelia Pott called this morning. Also Mr. Faels. This afternoon Burd called, also Anna Peale. Mr. William Tatham sent his leaden box for me to experiment with in restoring old pictures with by the aid of the fumes of Alcohol (or vaper)
Burd called today while Mary was out and said that the thermometer in Holmesburg stood at 1°. this morning.
