[[underlined]] Tuesday 14. [[/underlined]] Mr. Moran gave us another lesson this morning, present Mrs. Cristie, Anna Sellers, Anna & Peale she came quite late. After he went away I traced out a copy of Marys Peaches that hang over the mantle piece intending to get a fresh bunch of grapes to paint from.
The thermometer at Millbank this morning stood at 0/1. here at 7 oclock it stood 8° calm w clear. 33°. calm, clear. 28° calm, clear.
This evening Miss Storm, Miss Tiler, Miss Julia and Susan Thorpe and John Thorp spent the evening with us.
[[underlined]] Wednesday 15. [[/underlined]] This morning Mary went to Germantown to attend the funeral of Miss Elizabeth Morris who was taken sick on Wednesday last with congestion of the lungs and died on Sunday was buried this afternoon at 3 oclock.
Mary dined with Mrs. A. Bennet, they then went to the funeral together Mr. B was absent. The day was very unpleasant commencing with snow and closing with rain at Germantown it was sleet. Mary got home in time for tea through the rain.
I painted all the morning, commenced a copey of Mary's Peaches to be numbered 114.

[[underlined]] Thursday 16. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning, commenced a copy of Raphaels cakes & wine which he presented to Mrs. Peale on our wedding day. Mary wants the copy as Charles is to have the original.

[[underlined]] Friday 17. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 114 principally on the peaches. Mary & Emma went to Miss Thorps this afternoon to hear the reading, Mary came back with a head-ake, Miss Stoddard & [[?]] Levan came to spend the evening but didnot stay long as she was sick. Charles called this afternoon.
