[[underlined]] Wednesday 15.[[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 118.  Mr. Dungan called to see Mary, he has succeeded in getting permission for Mary to make a copy of Mrs. Martha Washington from the Portrait by my Father that is in Independance Hall, she will have it here instead of going to the State House to paint it.  Sarah Oglevie called, this afternoon Louisia and her brother Edward he tells me that Lewis Walked's horse ran away with him in the sulkey at Omstead yesterday he was thrown out and broke his leg just above the ankle, the hors dashed into the woods with the sulky.

[[underlined]] Thursday 16.[[/underlined]]  I painted the greater part of the morning on N. 116. and made a sketch on a canvas for a fruit piece for Frederics wife slice of Watermellon Peaches and Grapes.(white) N. 119.
Burd called this morning and vaccinated Mary.
Mr. Dungan called to say that Mr. Dixon, Commissioner of City Property would be in Independance Hall at one oclock to give Mary the portrait of Mrs. Martha Washington for her to make a copy of it for Mr. Charles Atkins to match the portrait of the General that she painted for him from Rembrandt's Washington in her posession.

Mr. & Mrs. Cohen called this morning and Mr. Faiels.
Mary and I went this afternoon to James Peale's and spent the evening there.  Commenced to colour N. 119.

Charles & Mrs. Letten brought Burdie this morning, and Anna Peale.  This evening Mr. Joseph Shippen called.

[[underlined]] Sunday 19.[[/underlined]]  I have been alone all day, as Mary has been engaged at church & Sunday School, she went to see the family of Tho. Potts, whose death was announced in yesterdays paper, she there saw Capn. James Moore who has recovered from his illness.
