Went this P.M. to see [[/strikethrough]] Sahra [[/strikethrough]] Sarah Bernhardt in L'Aiglon at her own Theatre. Last performance this season, of said play.
She is certainly wonderful, marvelous for a woman of sixty some years. The way she gets around on the arm of the chair is remarkable. Certainly the finest actress Ive seen ever.
This is my night at home.
Wrote home.

Model came a trifle late as usual. She has taken to bringing me cigarettes, Algerian, and very nice ones too: Think I did a little something on the canvas today.
Went this afternoon to the bank and had my usual long wait. The way they do business in this country wl'd. certainly frost an American more over they try to cheat one at a bank not only by keeping the exchange but by giveing bad gold pieces.
Went awhile to the Louvre, just trifle dark today.
Miss Ferriss sent her photograph, graduating picture I take it, which is very pretty indeed
Hoover is thinking of getting out of here, 36 St Sulpice, I shall miss him much. Letter from the "Kid" and one from mother today. Amuseing account of Major's reception in Kids letter.
