After dinner I went with Miss Power & one of the German girls the Role & [[underline]] Loud [[/underline]] to the end of the forty hours services [[underline]][[strikethrough]] for [[/underline]][[/strikethrough]] the perpetual adoration, in L'eglise St. Sulpice. These services are going on constantly in some one of the churches in the city [[strikethrough]] all the time [[/strikethrough]] so that incense is always burning and it was the turn of this church to have a parade. Decorations were very nice, much more dignified than Xmas Eve. The procession wound around the whole church. Much incense and a great deal of farce & frills. French lesson first thing this morning, have changed them to nights for the future. Broke my English pipe.
