[[preprinted]] January THURSDAY, 16 1902. [[/preprinted]] Took a walk before working this morning went around to the market on Rue Lubiron Pretty fountain inside. Worked on the window the A.M. Think it some what better. This P.M. I went to the U.S Consul General's for an artists declaration to send home Norton & Philip. They certainly treat you white. Plugged a little french before dinner and after dinner, had my lesson [[end page]] [[start page]] [[preprinted]] January FRIDAY, 17 1902. [[/preprinted]] Very dark this A.M. sent home & told her to come the next pleasant day Took my thumb box & went to Charsuton, it was exquisite & I tryed to paint but it turned out about the way I felt. I think this lettuce Im liveing on is going to my head. Saw a regular Chevaunes out there today. Try it next time I go Read French with Miss Sargent this evening. Had same frugal repast with the name dinner.
