Got a bunch of letters this among them one from Jack. He has met Sandow and Taken him out to dinner & afterwards went to Keiths on his card to see him do his stunt. 
Jack is doing his tumbling at some of the ameteur shows and is going to do some posing at one of them. 
Got some tobacco from Hoskens in a newspaper, today. It was like finding money it was so good. Hope he gets some over for on his way through.

Paid Prof. for 5 lessons tonight

Finished the Velasque this P.M. 
Nice day in spots. Went over after lunch and varnished out the Infanta and finished it. 
Got a letter from Major and one from "Tommy" which was pithy and amusing. He is working over time alright from his letter. 
French tonight got it where I usually do. 
Im having a great time trying to get a corduroy coat made to come within five feet of fitting me. 
Paid for five lessons tonight.
Painted altogether seven times on the Velasque copy.
