Painted all day
and made a sketch in the late afternoon over on the hill behind the Palace.
Went at 8.00 to the theater is here Dianni's dress rehearsal First act - curtain went up at ten something and over an hour between the others so that it was morning before the third act and four A.M. when the curtain went down for the last time. People didn't seem to mind being up all night. Dianni has a hard part with not enough to do but he is the best man alright

Got home a 4.30 this morning from Dianni's dress rehersal. Got up at 6.00 and was just putting down some chocolate preparatory to going to the train to meet the [[underline]] its [[/underline]] when there came a knock and in walked Twachtman and Hall and a friend name Lucius. I was glad to see them and thats no dream. Spent the time till Prado opened in the Botanical gardens Rest of the time in the Prado till it closed.
Twachtman said "what has any one else tried to paint for" and that's pretty near what one feels for a while
Bed at ten.
Getting colder.
