Easter Week. [[/preprinted]]

A nice day after the changeable and rainy days we've been having. Painted on my trees before lunch and after lugged out the church and had a whack at that. Pitched stones awhile & went in swimming off the little dock. Chance to dive.

Dinner and out to watch the "villagers" threshing and stacking straw in the moonlight. Walked down through the garden to the lookout & watched the sea awhile. Find I have a nice drawing below, by lamplight.

Painted on the blue & yellow picture of the point this AM The nature was very handsome the big light rock was almost like a white rose in the sunlight.
After lunch a party of us went to went to the Chateaux Kerlévenan. It was very nice outside and very prettily situated but the inside though interesting didn't come up & the pictures were mostly on the burn. I think the Rubens was authentic but the Velasque was a terrible poor "cruit" & the Veronese had had four of the heads cut out & new ones sewed in & it looked quite foolish in places.
Harvey & I rode on the top of the carriage going over to the amusement of the natives. We grubbed in the Café Lesage at Sarzeau and walked back by moonlight and things were fine.
